Ukrainian-born NZ based alt-pop artist, singer/songwriter and musician VÏKÆ (Veronika Bell) graduated from the University of Otago with an honours music degree and an affinity for the performing arts.

Destined to be a voice for the underdogs and those who never quite fitted in, VÏKÆ’s distinctive sound blends the best of emo rebellion and pop sensibilities. Her compelling style of storytelling intertwines with 90s nostalgia and broodingly cinematic soundscapes, sitting somewhere in the realm of “alternative bass pop”. An eclectic mix of influences make up the recipe for VÏKÆ’s idiosyncratic sound: Taylor Swift , Halsey and Evanescence. 
 VÏKÆ has performed at some of the country’s biggest music festivals such as Baydreams (Nelson 2020), Mardi Gras (Ohakune 2021 & 2022), Deep Hard N Funky (2022) and AUM NYE (2022).

Released in 2021 Moon City was voted into the top 100 tracks on Radio One 91FMs 2021 list. It debuted at #4 and spent over 12 weeks on the Top 11. VÏKÆ – Finelines – EP (prod. MISSY ) debuted at #5 on The NZ Official Music Charts. Her EP amassed 100s and 1000s of streams generating honourable mentions in the NZ Hot 20, Top 20 Charts and The SRN Charts (14 weeks/Radio 91FM Top 11 Countdown). Australian radio AMR featured Finelines as one of the top 50 songs of 2020.

Her new mixtape LOVE GAMES is a continuation of exploring toxic dynamics within relationships; with an ode to heartbreak, defiance and loss. LOVE GAMES is set to be released later this year.
